Baku. Yegane Lachinzade - APA-Economics. 69,020 cars were involved in compulsory insurance in Azerbaijan in March, 2015, Compulsory Insurance Bureau of Azerbaijan (CIB) said.
CIB says 16,103 of these cars were registered in the foreign country and entered in Azerbaijan for transit.
Insurance premiums on these contracts made about AZN 5.3 mln.
Number of contracts rose 13%, sum of premiums – 20.3%.
Totally, 198,855 contracts were signed on compulsory insurance of civil liabilities of vehicle owners in the first quarter of 2015 and premiums on these contracts amounted to AZN 15.4 mln.
Compared to a year earlier, contracts rose 24.2%, insurance premiums - 29.6%.
