Mugan Bank gets 17% rise in assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2014, Azerbaijan-based Mugan Bank’s assets stood at AZN 340.401 mln, up 16.7% from previous year.

 

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 8.2% to AZN 219.575 mln, as well as consumer lending stood at AZN 59.886 mln, up 26.1% a year earlier. At the same time, overdue credits soared 52.7% to AZN 9.550 mln with the share of 4.3% in total loan portfolio, up 1.2 percentage point by contrast to a year earlier.

 

Deposit portfolio surged 22.3% to AZN 142.100 mln, including personal savings grew 16.5% to AZN 99.412 mln.

 

Total capital stood increased by 11.1% to AZN 50.088 mln, as well as authorized capital gained 10.7% to settle at AZN 41.306 mln.

 

Number of clients went up 32.7% to 90,459, as well as individuals rose 34.4% to 84,780, legal entities – 11.8% to 5,679. Plastic cards were equal to 12,250, up 27.6% from a year ago. Debit cards increased by 27.3% to 11,236, credit cards – by 22.8% to 1,014.

 

The bank operates 31 branches, 55 ATMs and 659 POS-terminals across the country.
