Expressbank sees 7% decline in assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2014, Azerbaijan-based Expressbank’s assets stood at AZN 233.509 mln, down 6.9% fro previous year.

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 62.4% to AZN 180.405 mln, as well as consumer lending made AZN 55.968 mln, up 27.3% from a year earlier.

Deposit portfolio dropped 34.3% to AZN 95.496 mln, including personal savings were equal to AZN 38.466 mln, up 35.6% in annual comparison.

Total capital soared 25.4% to AZN 127.713 mln, including authorized capital surged 28.5% to AZN 112.318 mln.

Number of clients increased by 34.5% to 65,102, as well as individuals surged 34.3% to 64,595, juridical persons increased by 40.4% to 507. Number of plastic cards made 29,180, up 6.6% in annual comparison. Debit cards rose 4.0% to 27,559, credit cards – 79.9% to 1,621.

Currently, the bank operates 16 branches, 68 ATMs and 266 POS-terminals across the country.
