Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Correction in exchange rate of manat was important, said the Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Elma Rustamov.
“Professionals understand these importance. Actually, this was not devaluation of manat, but devaluation of oil. Because, Azerbaijan’s oil was selling for $140, now its price has fell trice. Central Bank has a balance of payment. There was need to tak responsible decision in this regard”, Rustamov said.
Correction in exchange rate of manat was mainly aimed to protection of domestic market, and stimulation of export to abroad.
