Azerbaijan sees 16% rise in budget transfers through Ministry of Taxes

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-March, 2014, AZN 1,762,920,600 was transferred to the state budget through Ministry of Taxes, up 15.7% from previous year.

Of this, 31.5% came from profit tax, 27.3% from VAT, 12.1% from excises, 12.9% from individuals’ tax, 16.2% from other taxes. AZN 977,249.6 was transferred to the state budget from non-oil sector.

During the reporting period, 22,239 tax payers were registered. As of April 1, 2014, number of registered tax payers made 556,862.
