Azerbaijan increases premiums and payments 19% and 11% in non-life insurance

Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. AZN 82.1 mln or 80.7% of insurance premiums collected in January-February, 2015, came from non-life insurance, up 19.3% from previous year, Azerbaijan Insurers Association told APA-Economics.

35.8% or AZN 29.4 mln of non-life insurance came from health insurance, 12.4% or AZN 10.2 mln from compulsory vehicle insurance, 9.6% or AZN 7.9 mln from real estate compulsory insurance, 8.4% or AZN 6.9 mln from property insurance against fire and other perils, 6.8% or AZN 5.6 mln from casco insurance, 6.8% or AZN 5.6 mln from air transport facilities insurance, 20.2% or AZN 16.5 mln from other non-life insurance types.

81.7% or AZN 19.6 mln of payments during January-February, 2015 went to non-life insurance, up 11.3% in annual comparison.

42.1% or AZN 8.3 mln of non-life insurance payments went to health insurance, 24.4% or AZN 4.8 mln to compulsory automobile insurance, 22.3% or AZN 4.4 mln to casco, and 11.2% or AZN 2.2 mln to other non-life insurance types.

AZN 23.9 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium. It was AZN 25.6 in 2014.
