Azerbaijan-based commercial banks sees rise in foreign liabilities

Baku. Parviz Nuriyev – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2014, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks made AZN 4, 442.3 mln, up AZN 1,458.5 mln or 48.9% copmared to a year earlier.

Central Bank of Azerbaijan says foreign liabilities rose AZN 209.8 mln or 4.96% in March.

At the same time, as of April 1, 2014, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 2,802.1 mln, up AZN 553 mln or 24.6% in comparison to a year earlier. In March, these assets rose AZN 238.3 mln or 9.3%.
