Azerbaijan-based banks sees rise in foreign liabilities

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of November 1, 2013, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks made AZN 3,662.7 mln, by rising AZN 817.4 mln or 28.7%.

Central Bank fop Azerbaijan says foreign liabilities rose AZN 589.1 mln or 19.2% in January-October, AZN 88.8 mln or 2.5% in October.

At the same time, as of November 1, 2012, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 2,223.7 mln, up AZN 254.9 mln or 13% in comparison to a year earlier. In January-October, these assets surged AZN 207.6 mln or 10.3%, in October – AZN 92.3 mln or 4.3%.
