Azerbaijan-based banks see growth in foreign liabilities

Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of February 1, 2015, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks made AZN 4,935.6 mln, by rising AZN 765.9 mln or 18.37% year-on-year.

Central Bank of Azerbaijan says compared to previous month, foreign liabilities rose AZN 50.1 mln or 1%.

At the same time, as of February 1, 2015, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 3,098.6 mln, up AZN 739.5 mln or 31.35% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous month, the assets slipped AZN 54.5 mln or 1.73%.
