Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of February 1, 2014, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 20,546.35 mln, up AZN 4,127.3 mln or 25.1% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets increased by AZN 161.25 mln or 0.8% in January, 2014.

Most of assets were loans given to clients. So, such loans made AZN 14,210.5 mln. Besides, AZN 1,704.6 mln was investments, AZN 1,072.4 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 890.7 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 896.5 mln – cash funds and AZN 1,771.6 mln – other assets.
AZN 9,158.9 mln of liabilities were deposits, AZN 6,833.1 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,113.6 mln – other liabilities and AZN 3,440.8 mln – capital.
