Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2014, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 21,418.6 mln, up AZN 4,106.8 mln or 23.7% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets increased by AZN 600.14 mln or 2.8% in March, 2014.
Most of assets were loans given to clients. Such loans made AZN 14,573.8 mln. Moreover, AZN 1,859 mln was investments, AZN 1,215.3 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 1,108 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 1,002.1 mln – cash funds and AZN 1,660.4 mln – other assets.
AZN 9,393.3 mln of liabilities were deposits, AZN 7,172.5 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,434.7 mln – other liabilities and AZN 3,418.1 mln – capital.
