Azerbaijan-based 14 insurers increase premiums, 12 - decrease

Baku. APA-Economics - Musa Ahmadov. Pasha Insurance headed the insurance market with the premiums of AZN 24.4 mln in January, 2015, said the chairman of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.

Silk Way Insurance collected AZN 7.4 mln, Ateshgah – AZN 5.8 mln, PASHA Life Insurance – AZN 3.7 mln and Ateshgah Life Insurance – AZN 2.8 mln.. Total premiums of these companies made 70% of total payments.

The insurers with the less premiums are Ravan Sigorta (AZN 226,200), Bashak Inam (AZN 202,300), Amrah Sigorta (AZN 106,700), Azergarant (AZN 72,500), and Gunay Sigorta (AZN 18,900). Total payments of these insurers amount to AZN 626,600 - 1% of total payments.

Generally, 3 insurance companies’ premiums make over AZN 5 mln, 9 companies – AZN 1-5 mln, 5 companies – AZN 0.5-1 mln, 10 companies – below AZN 0.5 mln. 14 insurers increased premiums, 12 decreased.
