Azerbaijan-based 12 insurers decrease insurance payments

Baku. APA-Economics - Musa Ahmadov. Pasha Insurance heads the insurance market paying AZN 4.78 mln in January-February, 2015, Azerbaijan Insurers Association told APA-Economics.

Ateshgah Insurance paid AZN 2.29 mln, AXA MBASK – AZN 1.96 mln, Ateshgah Life insurance – AZN 1.94 mln and Azersigorta – AZN 1.84 mln. Total payments by these companies made AZN 12.8 mln or 53% of total payments.

The insurers doing fewer payments are Era-Trans (AZN 28,700), Silk Way Insurance (AZN 7,900), Gunay Sigorta (AZN 11,000), Chartis Azerbaijan (AZN 3,900) and Azergarant (AZN 1,100). Total payments of these insurers amount to AZN 54,000, 0.2% of total payments.

Generally, 10 insurance companies’ payments make over AZN 1 mln, 10 companies – AZN 0.5 -1 mln, 8 companies – AZN 0.1-0.5 mln, 5 companies – below AZN 0.1 mln. 15 insurers increased payments, 12 decreased.
