Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Today, Azerbaijan-Czech Republic business forum has been held in Baku.
APA-Econmics reports that the business forum has been held by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under the support of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
The business forum was attended by more than 60 businessmen from both countries on finance, industry, environment, forestry and agriculture, energy, construction.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Niyazi Safarov said that these countries have signed more than 20 documents so far: “All these are significant for extension of cooperation between two countries”.
Safarov noted that there are 13 Czech companies in Azerbaijan: “During last decade, $1 bln was invested in Azerbaijan’s main capital. We are interested in capital investment and development od trade links with Czech Republic”.
Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and trade Jiri Havlicek both countries have great potential to extend trade links.
He underlined significance of Czech Republic-Azerbaijan relations in the development economic-trade cooperation and development directions of economic relations.
Head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov spoke about Azerbaijan’s business environment.
Thereafter, the Executive – Director of the Chamber of Trade and Industry for CIS countries František Masopust made speech on cooperation between businessmen.
