Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover rose by 3% last year

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani residents carried out trade operations with the legal entities and individuals of 149 countries last year. Goods were exported to 105 countries, imported from 141 countries.

APA-Economics reports quoting the State Statistical Committee that 29 of the participants of foreign trade turnover are from America, 49 from Europe, 38 Asia.

The total volume of the foreign trade turnover last year was $43.5bn, up by 2.7% compared to 2012. $32.8bn of the turnover accounted for export, $10.7bn for import, this resulted in $22.1bn positive balance.

Raw oil, oil products, natural gas, fruits and vegetables, vegetable oil were the most exported products, food products, black metal, automobiles, electric appliances, vehicles and their spare parts were the most imported goods. Export of non-oil products rose by 6% compared to 2012 and reached $1 773 000.
