Azerbaijan-based banks sees 74% rise in profit

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ re-0tax profit made AZN 52.85 mln in January, 2014, up AZN 22.39 mln or 73.5% from previous year.

Interest incomes made AZN 160.57 mln, interest expenditures – AZN 76.37 mln and consequently, interest profit was equal to AZN 84.20 mln. At the same time, non-interest incomes stood at AZN 34.36 mln, non-interest expenditures – AZN 61.93 mln and consequently, non-interest loss stood at AZN 27.57 mln.

In annual comparison, the interest profit rose AZN 23.81 mln or 39.4%, non-interest loss dropped AZN 1.31 mln or 4.5%.
