Azerbaijan becomes a full member of International Federation of Accountants

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Chamber of Auditors has become a full member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
Vahid Novruzov, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors, said the decision on the countryâ€™s membership was passed in an IFAC board meeting in Rome.
IFAC is the global organization for the accountancy profession. IFAC is comprised of 155 members and associates in 118 countries, representing more than 2.5 million accountants employed in public practice, industry and commerce, government, and academe. The organization, through its independent standard-setting boards, establishes international standards on ethics, auditing and assurance, education, and public sector accounting. It also issues guidance to encourage high quality performance by professional accountants in business.
