Istanbul to host International Finance Summit

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. International Finance Summit 2010 will take place in Istanbul, Turkey on September 28-30, IFS coordination office’s executive secretary Beste Polatli told APA-Economics. Leaders of the North American, European, East Asian and Gulf financial institutions and organizations will gather in Istanbul.

The annual summit will be organized by PGlobal, Yedi24 Group of Companies and Germany’s Financial Gates GmbH at the Bahceseher University.

It will be the first international financial summit including nine different panel meetings and first event within the project of making Istanbul an international financial center.

The summit participants will focus on the situation of finance and economy in the world.

Turkey’s state minister and deputy prime minister Ali Babacan, MP Cuneyt Yuksel, secretary of treasure Ibrahim Canakci, head of investment market organization Vedat Akgiray, head of the Central Bank, Durmus Yilmaz, head of Istanbul Stock Exchange Huseyn Erkan, head of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Murad Yalchintas, head of German Federal Financial Control Jochen Sanio, chairman of the Mexican Central Bank Augustine Karstens, president of the Islamic Development Bank Ahma Mohammad Ali, member of the Polish Central Bank Board of Governors Zbignew Hochcuba, City Group senior economist William Buiter are expected to attend the summit.
