President of Azerbaijan receives Turkish minister of external trade

The Head of State expressed confidence that the Turkish ministerâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan would be successful, press service of the President told APA-Economics. Emphasizing good level of economic relations between the two countries, Ilham Aliyev said there were opportunities for extension of these relations. Touching upon the visit of Turkish business people to Azerbaijan, President Aliyev said it would be important for them to develop their cooperation and relations with local business people.

In his turn, Chaglayan conveyed greetings from Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Receb Tayib Erdogan to the Azerbaijani leader. He emphasized successful development processes in Azerbaijan and reminding about his last yearâ€™s visit to the country he said he witnessed construction of new buildings and roads, as well as great development rate in Baku. Emphasizing 9% economic growth in Azerbaijan against the background of global financial crisis, the guest said they were proud of the development in Azerbaijan and congratulated the Head of State on the high achievements reached in the country.

President Aliyev said he believed in further development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
