Azerbaijan sees 3.7% economic growth in January-June

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva - APA-Economics. The volume of Gross Domestic Product rose by 3.7% to AZN 16.5 bln, in first half-year, 2010, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov told in the meeting about the results of social-economic development of first half-year, 2010.
The per head of GDP rose by 2.5% to AZN 2 211: “The average monthly salary rose by 5% compared with a year ago, population’s per head incomes increased by 8.4% to AZN 1 290.â€
He also noted that, population’s funds was up 9.7% from the same period of the last year. “The growth rate of population’s incomes exceeded the current inflation. The paid services rose by 10.5%, retail commodity circulation by 8.4% and population’s deposits in banks by 29%.
