- Will the representations of Iranian banks be launched in Baku? Was the Central Bank of Azerbaijan asked about this?

- Iran and Azerbaijan have joint histories. We have air, earth and water borders. Theis help Iran to create economic relations with Azerbaijan. Iranian bank are ready to launch their representations in Azerbaijan. We invite the bank chairmen of Azerbaijan to Iran and are ready to collaborate forever. Presently, the representation of Bank Melli Iran operates in Azerbaijan. But we did not ask to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan about launching of representations of Iranian banks.

- We’d like to know your opinions about getting equity of Iranian banks in the authorized capital of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks...

- Several chairmen of Iranian bank have come to Baku with me and they will hold meetings about this. Iranian banks’ chiefs interest in this and will explein their opinions about this.

- How will Iran’s Central Bank support the development of Islamic Banking in Azerbaijan?

- Iran regulates its banks on Islamic principles. This is based on the book about Islamic Banking whic was written by Iranian scientist Mohammadbagir Sadri 70 years ago. We have enough experience about Islamic banking and we are ready to share this with Azerbaijani brothers. We can develop Islamic banking syste between two countries.

- How is the total volume of international money transfer operations between Azerbaijan and Iran in the first quarter of 2010, compared with a year ago?

- I don’t know exactly how much it is. But I know this index is good. I hope the it will be better.
