President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson held detailed discussions on the current diplomatic situation and development of Ukraine’s military aviation, APA reports, citing ukrinform.net.
According to Ukrinform, Zelenskyy reported this on Facebook.
“I thanked him for the very tangible defense support. This year, Sweden has allocated $4 billion to help our defense,” Zelenskyy noted.
He briefed the Swedish Prime Minister on the battlefield situation. They also discussed the diplomatic situation in great detail.
“Sweden, like all the Nordic countries, firmly supports the need for the quickest possible, just, and reliable end to the war, as well as effective pressure on Russia. It is Russia that must take steps to end the war it started. We will continue to coordinate with Sweden and other partners to strengthen our positions,” Zelenskyy stressed.
The parties discussed possible meeting formats and agreed to carry out the relevant visits in the near future.
“We also discussed our cooperation in developing Ukraine’s military aviation. We are currently determining which combat platforms our aviation fleet will operate on in the next stages. We agreed that our teams from Ukraine and Sweden will work in depth on this issue,” Zelenskyy added.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked European leaders for the joint statement on peace in Ukraine.
