The world did not provide the necessary assistance to the Iranian people, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, APA reports.

"The protesters in Iran were drowning in blood. The world did not provide enough assistance to the Iranian people; it stood aside. Christmas and New Year celebrations were being held in Europe. By the time European politicians returned to work and took a stand, the ayatollah had already killed thousands of people. If the regime in Iran remains, it will be a message to the world: kill many people and stay in power," Zelensky noted.

The Ukrainian leader complained that Europe has not yet taken retaliatory measures against Iran.
