Ukraine is considering the creation of a U.S.-proposed “buffer economic zone” in Donbas, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, APA reports, citing UNIAN.
He noted that establishing an economic zone in certain areas of Donbas could be a compromise requiring the conflicting parties to withdraw their troops to a safe distance in order to return to normal life.
According to Zelensky, another scenario would involve halting military operations without withdrawing troops, followed by resolving disputed issues through diplomatic means.
