The United States does not intend to reduce the number of its troops in Europe, but may redeploy them there. This was stated by President Donald Trump, answering journalists' questions at the start of a meeting with his Finnish counterpart, Alexander Stubb, APA reports.
"No, but we may redeploy them somewhat," Trump said, answering a question about the possibility of reducing US troops in Europe.
"We have, as you know, a lot of troops in Europe, and we can move them around a little bit," he added.
