US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that his decision to seize the Russian tankers was not difficult, APA reports.
"I don't think it was a difficult decision. The fact is that there was a Russian destroyer and a submarine near the tanker. As soon as we got there, they quickly left the area," Trump said.
The US leader did not want to answer the question of whether he had contacted Putin after the seizure of the tanker.
It should be noted that two days ago, the Russian-flagged "Bella 1" tanker was seized by the US in the Atlantic Ocean.
