Sweden will allocate about $367 million for anti-drone defense systems, the country's Defense Minister Pål Jonson posted on his "X" account, APA reports.
According to the minister, these defense systems include weapons to shoot down drones, strike drones for air bases, and sensors to create an electronic barrier.
"This will significantly strengthen our defense capabilities," Jonson said.
In addition, more spare parts and equipment for Swedish fighter jets will be purchased.
"Recent cases of drone violations and espionage show that air strikes are becoming an increasingly important part of modern warfare. We must defend against this," the minister emphasized.
