A ship that had previously sailed to Novorossiysk and its 33,000 tons of metal cargo were seized in the Italian port of Brindisi, APA reports, citing the press service of the Italian Financial Guard.
A ship sailing under the flag of one of the small ocean island countries was seized with a cargo of metal from Russia. An inspection revealed that the vessel had been at the port of Novorossiysk between November 13 and 16.
The reason for the arrest is the European Union's sanctions banning imports and exports to Russia in connection with the war in Ukraine.
