Russia attacked a high-rise building with a strike drone today, December 25, resulting in a fire, according to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, APA reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.
"Russia struck a 5-story building. A fire broke out in an apartment. Information is being clarified," says the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration.
Dozens of windows were knocked out, and a large hole was formed on the third floor. A fire broke out in the building.
Bryzhynskyi also reports that Russia attacked a critical infrastructure facility during today's strike. There are casualties and injuries reported.
"Preliminary reports indicate that one person has been killed. Three people have been injured, including one child," says Bryzhynskyi.
Later, the head of the regional military administration reported that 5 people had been injured. He also says that a Russian drone had destroyed an entire floor of the high-rise building. All emergency services are working at the scene.

Three people died as a result of Russia's attacks on Ukraine last night, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in an X post, APA reports.
"Russia did not stop its brutal bombing of civilians in Ukraine even on the holy Christmas night. Strikes on Odesa killed one person and injured two others. One civilian was killed in the Kharkiv region and another in the Chernihiv region. People were injured in the Zaporizhzhia and Sumy regions. Odesa suffers the most these days. Russia deliberately destroys energy and civilian infrastructure, leaving people without power, water, and heating amid freezing temperatures," Sybiha noted.
