The Ukrainian team in Miami continues working on documents aimed at ending the war and has also informed the US side about Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy system, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and National Defense and Security Council (NSDC) Secretary Rustem Umerov, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leader said he reviewed a report from the Ukrainian delegation currently in negotiations with the United States. The report was delivered by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.
"There have already been several rounds of talks. They are working on documents necessary to end the war. It's important that the Ukrainian team keeps the American side fully informed about what is happening in Ukraine and the ongoing Russian attacks on our energy system," the President said.
Secretary Umerov added that over the past two days, together with Presidential Office head Kyrylo Budanov and Head of Servant of the People Parliamentary Faction Davyd Arakhamia, he met with the US side (including US Presidential Special Envoy Steven Witkoff, Jared Kushner, US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, and White House Senior Advisor Josh Gruenbaum).
"We discussed the economic development and prosperity plan, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine, focusing on practical mechanisms for their implementation. We also informed our American partners about recent Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure," he said.
Umerov also mentioned that the next round of negotiations will take place in Davos during the World Economic Forum.
