Fighter jets of the Polish Armed Forces were scrambled on Wednesday to intercept a Russian reconnaissance aircraft flying over the Baltic Sea, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces said on its X account, APA reports.
According to the information, Polish fighter jets were launched in the morning to intercept a Russian reconnaissance aircraft that was flying in international airspace over the Baltic Sea near Poland’s airspace borders.
“Our fighters identified the aircraft and escorted it,” the statement said.
