The Polish General Staff is preparing a document that will prohibit Chinese-made private cars from entering military units and institutions, APA reports.
The decision is explained by threats to national security, according to Polish Radio.
According to army representatives, modern cars from China are equipped with a large amount of electronics capable of collecting data about the surrounding environment. This includes photos and videos, sound, and the geolocation of the vehicle.
The Polish military believes that such information could be used for espionage purposes.
The ban will apply not only to military units, but also to adjacent parking lots used by employees and visitors.
