Greenland is completely open to the deployment of additional US troops, said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in an interview with CNN, APA reports
According to him, there is a common understanding of the situation in the northern regions within NATO and the US presence is fully justified. He stressed that the issue of military presence does not create a fundamental disagreement.
"I am absolutely sure that we are all on the same position when it comes to NATO and the assessment of the situation in the north. The US presence is justified. I would like to emphasize once again that, especially when it comes to Greenland, the issue of the deployment of additional US troops is fully open to discussion. There are no problems here. There are relevant agreements," said Mark Rutte.
