The German Ministry of Defense plans to purchase the Skyranger mobile anti-drone system from the defense concern Rheinmetall to fill the gap left by the decommissioning of the Gepard systems in the Bundeswehr's air defense, APA reports, citing European Pravda.
According to the information, the government plans to place an order for more than 600 Skyrangers from the Düsseldorf-based defense contractor Rheinmetall by the end of the year, valued at more than 9 billion euros, and the order is expected to be delivered by 2030.
