Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze does not believe that the visa-free travel regime between the European Union (EU) and the country will be suspended, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to him, the EU is very irritated with the Georgian people: “However, I do not think they will punish the people by canceling the visa-free regime.”

The Prime Minister said that Georgia has taken all possible steps for European integration.

“Among candidate countries, Georgia is the number one in all directions. If the European Union's attitude is pragmatic, we will become a member of the organization in 2030,” Irakli Kobakhidze said during a briefing..

Noted that yesterday the European Parliament supported a draft law that will simplify the suspension of the visa-free regime for 61 countries, including Georgia, which is not a member of the EU.
