Hungary’s election winner Péter Magyar outlined his position on Ukraine, the EU, and the Druzhba oil pipeline, saying he would not accept any pressure on these issues, APA reports citing 444.hu.
At a press conference, he commented on the possible resumption of oil transit through the route and addressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He said the situation around the pipeline is not a political game, stressing that if Druzhba is ready for use, it should be restarted so Russia can resume oil supplies to Hungary.
Magyar also stressed that he would not cave to blackmail, adding that, in his view, European leaders would not give in either.
He added that if transit resumes, there would be no grounds to block the €90 billion loan.
