We have a common vision with Türkiye on the promotion of peace and stability in the Caucasus, said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, who is on a visit to Ankara, at a joint press conference with Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmus, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports that.

He noted that the increasing geopolitical value of the Middle Corridor was emphasized during the meeting.

He added that this corridor strengthens economic ties between Europe and Asia, deepens regional cooperation, energy security, and digital ties. Papuashvili emphasized that the Middle Corridor is an important symbol that ensures sustainable development and that Türkiye is an important partner country in the implementation of this project.

Papuashvili noted that the prospects for the development of relations between Türkiye and Georgia in a number of areas, including economic, energy, and inter-parliamentary cooperation, were discussed at the meeting.
