The signing of the planned $800 billion agreement on the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine has been postponed, the Financial Times newspaper writes, citing official sources, APA reports.

According to the report, plans to sign an agreement on post-war reconstruction between Ukraine and the United States in Davos have been disrupted.

It was noted that the reason for this was the opposition of European countries to US President Donald Trump's intention to gain control over Greenland and his "Peace Council" initiative.

According to the report, the announcement of an economic development plan worth $800 billion, which was supposed to be agreed between Ukraine, Europe and the United States at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, has been postponed indefinitely.

"Nobody is in the mood to make a big show around the agreement with Trump at the moment," the source noted.

It was noted that the dispute over Greenland and the "Peace Council" overshadowed the attention planned for Ukraine at the meeting in the Alps.

Tensions between U.S. and European capitals over Greenland have also weighed on talks this week between top national security officials, sources said, adding that the United States did not send a representative to the talks held Monday evening.
