Davit Gogoberishvili, the former director of Gldani prison No. 8 in Tbilisi, committed suicide, APA's local bureau reports.
His body was found in the garage of his house.
D. Gogoberishvili was reportedly shot.
An investigation is underway into the incident under the article "Incitement to suicide".
It should be noted that D. Gogoberishvili and his deputy Giorgi Kemoklidze left their posts several months ago. The reason for their resignation was the incident involving the beating of Giorgi Bachiashvili, Bidzina Ivanishvili's former financial advisor, who was detained in Gldani prison.
