Forest fires continue in Türkiye, APA reports citing Turkish media.
2 airplanes and 6 helicopters are continuing to extinguish the fire in the Çeşme region.
The fire, which started in the agricultural area, has spread to the forest, and some areas have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Due to the fire, traffic on the Çeşme-İzmir highway has been stopped.
The Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Cemil Tugay, said, “We are facing a large fire in Çeşme that is growing due to strong winds and threatening residential areas.”
At the same time, the fire in the Ödemiş region of İzmir has also not been brought under control.
