Finland is ready to restore relations with Russia, said Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview, APA reports.
Stubb noted that relations between Finland and Russia will be rebuilt after the conflict in Ukraine ends.
"As I have always emphasized, we cannot do anything about our geography. We have a history with Russia, and we will also have a future with Russia. But now, of course, relations are very difficult. In fact, there is nothing because of the war. But once the war ends, new relations will definitely be established," Stubb said.
Relations between Russia and Finland have deteriorated in recent years, particularly after Finland joined NATO in 2023. Bilateral cooperation between the two states has practically dropped to zero.
