The UK is speeding the transfer of £42 million to Kiev to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure, said Stephen Doughty, the UK Minister of State for Europe, North America and the British Overseas Territories, in his "X" account, APA reports.
"Millions of Ukrainians have woken up without power and water after yet more attacks by Russia on energy infrastructure. We are speeding up delivery of £42m in support to protect and repair energy infrastructure.We will not let Russia plunge Ukraine into the cold and dark," the British minister noted.
