An Azerbaijani citizen born in 1981, identified as E.A., has been detained in Georgia on charges of illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of a large quantity of narcotic drugs, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
During searches of the individual and his residences, 42 packages of the narcotic substance “methadone” were seized as evidence.
Investigative measures are ongoing regarding the case. The committed crime carries a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
