“Nord Stream 2 should not be completed,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk wrote on his Twitter account, APA reports.
“I welcome Donald Trump signing the sanctions against the Nord Stream 2. As a first result, Allseas, a company involved in constructing the pipeline, has suspended NS2 pipeclay activities. Moreover, the sanctions reinforce the talks that we’ve held with Russia on transit of gas to Europe and play a key role in preventing any monopolies in the EU energy market. Thus, sanctions provide for stable markets and competitive prices for all European consumers. Ukraine shares this position with many other EU countries, that for last 4 years opposed the construction of this politically-motivated project,” he noted.
