Five judges refuse to participate in analyzing Ukrainian president’s decree

Fiver members of Ukrainian Constitutional Court refused to participate in analyzing the president’s decree on dissolving the parliament, APA reports. Yaroslav Machujak, Vladimir Kampo, Victor Shishkin, Pyotr Stesyuk and Dmitri Lilak stated that they are exerted pressure.
“Unless conditions are created for unbiased court examination and making legal decision we will not participate in analyzing important problems in the Constructional Court. We ask the government to ensure our security,” they said.
The statement says that soon after the Constitutional Court got the appeal on analyzing the president’s decree the judges were exerted pressure for starting the court proceeding and ending the case at the time determined by the parliament. Chief of the Constitutional Court resigned. The statement says that the decree on dissolving the parliament conforms to the Constitution.
Constitutional Court will start analyzing the president’s decree tomorrow.
President Victor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Victor Yanukovich today met again. The president’s press service said that the president’s position did not change. The head of state later received heads of security agencies. Defense Minister Anatoli Gritsenko said that they discussed imposing state of emergency in the country. /APA/
