Baku-APA. The French carrier Air France warned Wednesday that new disturbances was expected to come as a result of the ongoing strikes organized by unions, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

A few schedule changes have been made to long-haul flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle until August 5, Air France said in a statement posted on its website.

"Some flights may be carried out by chartered airlines," added the airline in an update note, underlining disruption will be "minimal."

Maintenance technicians who started their strike eight weeks ago insisted to continue their walkout regardless of the traffic peak in tourism seasons, said the National Union of mechanics on the ground of civil aviation (SNMSAC).

According to local daily Le Figaro, talks between Air France and SNMSAC seem blocked because the union claimed having no contact with Air France management "for ten days."

Air France has been hit by a series of strikes since July 29, when some unions of hostesses and stewards announced their walkout till August 1, followed by that of a few pilots’ unions ending on Monday.
