Turkish official say PKK to pay heavy price for killing 13 soldiers

Baku-APA. Condemning the attack of outlawed Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK), killing 13 Turkish soldiers and wounding seven others in southeast Turkey, Turkish officials said that the PKK "will pay a heavy price for the attack" APA reports referring Xinhua

"This attack is not a coincidence regarding its timing. There are many purposes behind these terrorist acts. But our fight against terrorism will never wear out," Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters on Friday.

Erdogan added that the Turkish security forces would not end military operations against the PKK unless the organization lays down its arms.

13 soldiers of the Turkish security forces were killed, seven others were wounded on Thursday in a clash with the PKK members in Silvan town of southeastern province of Diyarbakir, while seven PKK militants were also killed in the clash.

The attack came up as troops were conducting operations near Diyarbakir in order to rescue three people, two of them soldiers, kidnapped by the PKK terrorists last weekend.
