Warsaw hosts 17th summit of Central and South-Eastern European countries’ leaders

Warsaw. Nijat Mustafayev – APA. The 17th summit of the Central and South-Eastern European countries’ leaders has started in Warsaw today.

APA reports that heads of 20 states, including Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina are attending the summit.

The participants of the summit will discuss the outcomes of the democratic reforms carried out in the Central Europe in the past 20 years, changes in the Arab states. The presidents will share their countries’ practice of transformation with other countries, including countries of Northern Africa.

U.S. President Barack Obama will also join the leaders of the European countries. This will be the first meeting of U.S. President with the leaders of Central and South-Eastern European countries.

Presidents of Serbia and Romania refused to attend the summit protesting against the invitation of Kosovo president to the event. Anti-globalists, ecologists and activists of other organizations plan to hold 11 protest actions in the capital of Poland.
