Fifteen workers were trapped inside the thinner factory due to fire and smoke, said Yuksel, adding that explosion was caused by thinner and painting tanks.
It’s the second accidental blast it the same day in OSTIM, Ankara’s main industrial zone.
On Thursday morning, a powerful explosion hit a factory manufacturing hydraulic machines. Two floors of the four-story OSTIM Mega Center building collapsed in the blast and windows of nearby buildings and cars were shattered.
"We have counted six dead, 27 others injured," Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay was quoted as saying by Anatolia news agency.
