Baku – APA. A Polish court on Wednesday ordered the extradition to Germany of an Israeli man suspected of being a Mossad agent involved in the slaying of a Hamas operative, APA reports quoting “Associated Press”.
A Warsaw district court judge ruled that Uri Brodsky be extradited on charges of forgery. Brodsky is suspected of helping fake a German passport that was used by a member of a hit squad believed to be behind the killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai in January.
Brodsky showed no reaction when the ruling was announced, sitting hunched in a chair listening to the verdict through an interpreter.
Israel has not commented on the case.
Brodsky was detained in Poland in June on an arrest warrant issued by Germany.
The court’s written ruling is not expected until mid-next week, and one of Brodsky’s defense attorneys, Anna Mika-Kopec, told The Associated Press she would only then know whether his legal team would file an appeal.
